Day Four: Benefits of Circumambulation Part C; Stainless Beam mantra

It’s also mentioned in the teachings, in the commentaries that sixty or, I think, seventy, sixty or seventy times, the fire end of the world that which melts even the rocky mountains or this, so hot, that is sixty or seventy times much hotter than the present energy of the fire in the human world. And then the, one tiny fire spark from the hell realm is seven times hotter than the end of the world fire.

However, so therefore, can’t imagine that how it is so powerful, how it is so beneficial, just one circumambulation, people or insects, anyone who goes round, that purifies completely the negative karma which causes to reincarnate in all the eight hot hells, completely get purified. So by existing such as these holy objects containing this mantra, it makes huge, it makes unbelievable differences, makes so easy, so easy to save yourself from suffering, to save others, so many people, so many creatures from suffering, so easy to liberate, so easy. So also, same, prostrations, so ?mentions prostrations, one prostration to that holy object, so you get liberated from all the sufferings. And then no returning, so one circumambulation, one prostration, done to that holy object which contains this mantra, even one, so your life never goes back. You only, no returning back. Your life, it only it directs your life only towards enlightenment. So that is another unbelievable thing. That is another unbelievable protection. From here you go only up, towards enlightenment, never go down. So that is another unbelievable thing. Incredible benefit what exact, what we need exactly.

So anyway, so becomes, so here when you circumambulate, do the practice of circumambulation, the very powerful practice of purification and collecting merits, so physically doing circumambulation. Then, speech, that is physical circumambulation. Then speech, reciting mantra at the same time. So very important also you create good karma with your speech, not just stay quiet but when you’re circumambulating, create good karma with the speech. You’re creating good karma with the body then of course it creates good karma with the speech. So, recite OM MANI PADME HUM or Vajrasattva mantra or the, so can recite, however, of course, excellent to recite OM MANI PADME HUM, Chenrezig mantra, so can recite also Vajrasattva mantra, so you can recite the five extremely powerful for purification, that which mantras is commonly used to recite people who died. People who died you bless the water, I mean, mustard seeds, things like that, then you throw over the body. So there’s, sprinkle over the cemeteries, where the person’s body is burned, or graveyard, you sprinkle on top of that. After the person’s body is burned you sprinkle on that. So, even the person’s consciousness is somewhere else, but still it helps, it connects, it helps that person who passed away to purify negative karma and to have a higher rebirth. So it’s very commonly used, that’s the main one that commonly used, these five deities. So one is the Namgyalma and one is the, which has skies of benefit, power to purify negative karma, long life, Namgyalma, then another one is Mitukpa, unbelievable powerful for purification, then other one is Lotus Pinnacle, OM PEMA USHNISHA BIMALA HUNG PHAT, so it’s unbelievable, that even a monk who broke all the four root vows, received, broke the four root vows completely and born in hell realm, if you chant this mantra thinking of that, mantra for that person who died, in the hell realm, then by the power of this mantra able to liberate that person who was a monk but broke four root vows and born in hell, able to liberate from the hell realm, to get higher rebirth. So then there are many other benefits. So, the Kunrig mantra, the king of the deity, king of the tantra purifying the lower realms, who is already born in the lower realms then you do puja of this, you recite this mantra then liberate from the lower realms. Then one, the Stainless Pinnacle, might be that. Yeah. This mantra. So this, even by reciting, you just recite this by thinking of the people or animal who died, born in the lower realms, so you chant by thinking of them, just even that, they get liberated from the lower realms, they get higher rebirth. So it’s extremely powerful.

So can recite any of those mantras, also can recite Vajrasattva. Then, OM MANI PADME HUM or Medicine Buddha, anyway, then can recite any prayer, Heart Sutra or anything, teachings on emptiness or whatever, prayers, so you can recite the Thirty-five Buddhas’ names while you’re circumambulating or different prayers you can recite, about bodhicitta or containing…. So if you know by heart can, many of the prayers can recite, Arya Manjushri Sanghiti or the different Buddha’s those important texts can recite while you’re circumambulating.

There’s one monk, there was one monk, not now, the Gelugpa Monastery, near the stupa there’s Gelugpa Monastery, where usually His Holiness resides there. He’s not the actual abbot but he’s the acting abbot, a Mongolian monk from Sera Je, a very good monk, from Tibet. So I stayed with him one month, when I came here alone many years ago to take the gelong ordination. From Nepal I came alone and, so I didn’t find a place, not in the Tibetan Monastery, no place, nowhere I found a place. So then I stayed the most expensive hotel, many years ago, Ashoka Hotel, the government hotel, so twenty rupees a day. So that time, twenty rupees a day. It’s the most expensive one that time. So then, because I could not find a place to stay so I stayed there.

So then participated, received the gelong ordination from His Holiness Ling Rinpoche, with His Holiness Tsenshap Serkong Rinpoche supporting, being the vajra master, vajra master! The master of precepts or the lopon, like that, and then His Holiness Ling Rinpoche, the abbot. There were two or three other monks. So then Rinpoche, that or another time, in the ordination ceremony, Rinpoche asked me where I was staying so I said I was staying at the Ashoka Hotel. Then Rinpoche, Isn’t it expensive? He said.

So anyway, so then I ran out of money, so I stayed there then I ran out of money, so there were some, there were four guys from Holland, three or four guys from Holland, who were going to Nepal and they were staying in my next room, so then, so I asked them to borrow money, three hundred rupees. So I said I would pay in Nepal. So they gave me the three hundred rupees. So then with that I bought offerings, for the ordination I bought fruits to fill the begging bowl, from the market ________, anyway, to make offerings. So, yeah, then I found a place, somewhere down, somewhere between the, after Thai Monastery, down below there’s one called dormitory, so I stayed there seven days. And then I found a place back to the monastery, so I stayed with this monk. That time His Holiness Ling Rinpoche was teaching the Lama Tsongkhapa’s lamrim, the great lamrim, the steps of the path to enlightenment, so Rinpoche was giving this teaching. So I stayed with this Mongolian monk, one monk, he has one bed, spare bed, and maybe there was one monk moved somewhere else, I’m not sure. So I found one spare bed with him, in his room.

So anyway, this monk, that part is just side-talk, okay. So this monk , so every morning nine o’clock or something, he takes a stick and then he starts to recite the Abidharmakosha, this eight chapters, I think. So he knows by heart, so he starts chanting, used to recite, from the room when he start to walk to the stupa, with the, he hold the stick then he start to recite. Then circumambulate, I don’t know how long but come back, he come back to home, finish the whole eight chapters of Abidharmakosha. So he does that every day. So it is said to be also very powerful purification. So that’s kind of his daily life practice. I mean, that’s not the only thing but that’s what he does.

So anyway, I think that, I think the monk died in meditation. When the monk died, died in the meditation state, like Buddha, the lion laying down, that position. Then the monastery, I think, allowed the monks from Theravadin temple, those, to come to see him that in meditation. So those monks came to see. Then I think maybe they kept the body maybe a little bit long. So after the meditation is over, then you’re supposed to pack up the body. So after meditation is over, so I think maybe there’s some wind or something, body become so, during meditation nothing happens, no smell, nothing happens. But if the meditation is over then things can happen, then many interesting things can happen.

So anyway, so what I’m saying, yeah, so anyway this is side-talk from the, when you circumambulate don’t keep the mind quiet, don’t keep the, you should also create good karma with the speech, so otherwise you’re, you have incredible opportunity even with the speech, reciting mantras or praying, so many eons of negative karma get purified and so much what you can do, and you lose all those opportunities, so many eons of negative karma get purified by reciting one buddha’s name, one mantra, so you lose a billion, if you lose a billion dollars, I mean, then you could become crazy. So here, this is much greater loss than a zillion, trillion dollars, this collecting merit and purification, all those past negative karmas.

So, [pause] that’s right, I think I stayed one, I just remembered, I stayed one night or two nights in a Theravadin temple, that time I remember now. That time I was helped by one guy from, one student from Holland. He was here so he helped to carry the, that time I have only one suitcase. This big one, so then he helped carry, the other side he carried. So then we stayed together in one room there and one monk came at nighttime and then he was talking about, because he couldn’t understand, they couldn’t understand the female enlightened being, Tara, they were talking about , because they couldn’t understand so talking about some negative, something like that.

So anyway, so the mind in the devotion when you circumambulate. So three things, body prostration, the body, circumambulation; then the speech reciting mantra or Buddha’s name or those teachings of Buddha, recite, you can recite also praise to Buddha, if you know by heart, you can recite also praise to Buddha, the dependent arising, Lama Tsongkhapa’s the supreme praise to Buddha, that the Buddha has found this realization, that things are dependent arising, that they are empty and unified with dependent, that things are empty and dependent arising, and liberating us sentient beings from oceans of samsaric suffering by revealing the truth, by revealing this truth what he himself realized. So there are different praises. So anyway, so that is speech circumambulation. While, during the circumambulation if our mind is in devotion, devotion to guru, Buddha, Dharma, Sangha, to Guru Shakyamuni Buddha, so that is the mind, mental circumambulation. So then it becomes so powerful, body, speech and mind, all three in virtue, so it makes the life most productive, so meaningful. So it is said from sutra, Circumambulating the Stupa, from Buddha, it’s said, the action of the body is also circumambulation, the action of the speech also circumambulation, the action of the mind is also circumambulation and praying is also circumambulation.

So in the past Lama Atisha always does circumambulation. Then, because Lama Atisha does always circumambulation, so then Lama Atisha’s disciple, Geshe Tonpa, the translator of Lama Atisha in Tibet, who is His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s incarnation, Geshe Tonpa, Dromtonpa, I think we have a statue here. That one, that one is Dromtonpa. This is Lama Atisha, there’s Dromtonpa. So I think unbelievable fortunate that we have here the Kadampa geshes, some of the major Kadampa geshes statues here at the Root. I just say the words, Oh, make this, build this, build that, then there’s, then different times people here worked, then they put effort to make these statues, ordered in Nepal. So you don’t see normally in the monasteries, the Kadampa geshe statues, that many, Lama Atisha’s more common to have but I think the rest you don’t see the statues in the monasteries, Kadampa geshes statues like this many. But paintings it comes also here, but if there’s the lineage lamas of lamrim then it comes in the lineage lamas, but not common to make statues. So that’s, so anyway, so it’s unbelievable fortunate inspiration. So anyway, hopefully, at the moment, this time didn’t happen but I think, each year maybe some teachings of each Kadampa geshe, that was my wish that, to do, each Kadampa geshe, there are teachings of each Kadampa geshe, I mean to do listening, explaining, and to meditate, so it would be very good, something related to the statues that we have. So anyway, I can’t predict this time. So anyway, maybe I can predict after it’s finished. Not before.

So anyway, so Geshe Tonpa, Dromtonpa, the Lama Atisha’s translator, it’s Chenrezig, embodiment of Chenrezig, it’s incarnation of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, this, the one lay aspect. So Lama Atisha does quite often the circumambulations, so Dromtonpa also does. So Lama Atisha often does circumambulation so Dromtonpa asked, Why you do, why you don’t collect merit, why you don’t do virtuous activities by sitting? Why you do, why circumambulation? Why you don’t do virtuous activity by sitting? Because, I think, the reason is Lama Atisha very old age aspect, so that’s why Dromtonpa asked, Why don’t you do virtuous activity by sitting?

So then Lama Atisha replied back to Dromtonpa, That’s because you don’t understand. Lama Atisha said, This circumambulation has all three virtues: virtue of the body, of the speech, of the mind, all three. So if you meditate, Lama Atisha said, it’s only one. There’s only one virtue, meditating. There’s no speech and the body. So there’s no greater profit than circumambulation, Lama Atisha explained.

So also Lama Atisha said, Among the virtue, among the causative virtue, there’s no greater merit than circumambulation. So the Kadampa, Dromtonpa, then all the lineage of Kadampa geshes, starting from Lama Atisha, then all they regarded very, very important the practice.

So then, so there happened, in India big cities, I think, doing circumambulation, then I think because in the cities they makes temples and statues of Buddhas and things, so then had attainments.

So by the way it purifies the defilements, negative karmas, but also by the way it becomes healing, so collects so much merit and so…. So those, as brief benefits I explained before, all those realizations, causes, so there happened many stories that it become healing.

So, what I was saying before, yeah, I got…. Then if you have this mantra, if you have the secret relic, dharmakaya mantra, the secret relic, then other one is Stainless Beam Deity mantra, if you have this mantra, Stainless Beam Deity mantra inside the stupa or statue, even one, then anybody who do one prostration or one offering, then it purifies, just by that it immediately purifies the five uninterrupted negative karmas, and it becomes cause of long life and the cause to be born in a pure realm, cause to be born in the pure land of Buddha. No, I think this, I got mixed up. Now this one is , this one might be Stainless Pinnacle, I think, Stainless Pinnacle Deity’s mantra, I think.

Now Stainless Beam Deity’s mantra, each one has skies of benefit, the Stainless Pinnacle’s unbelievable, unbelievable. Just, if you just hear this mantra, Stainless Pinnacle, it directs your life towards enlightenment, it’s unbelievable purification. And the power it has, benefit, is unimaginable. So just by hearing it directs your life from here towards enlightenment. It goes up, your life goes up, so this mantra has so much power, and Buddha has inconceivable power so Buddha can make the mantra, Buddha can make, because he has inconceivable qualities, power, so therefore, Buddha can make the mantra has that much power, can do that.

And then Stainless Beam Deity’s mantra, if it is inside, even there’s one, then if you offer a bell to the stupa containing Stainless Beam deity’s mantra inside, then the sound of the bell and the animals, people in the area, anybody who hears the sound of the bell connected to the stupa containing this mantra, Stainless Beam Deity’s mantra, then any animal, dogs and any other, cows or the horse or goats, all the animals and birds living in the area, in the forest or however, and the people, their negative karma, the very heavy negative karma, killed father and mother, killed arhat, harmed Buddha, disunity among the Sangha, all those get purified. Even hearing the sound of the bell that offered to the Stupa containing this mantra, so I’m just here mentioning, so just sort of, yeah, just one benefit like that, but in the text from Buddha, in the Kangyur there’s unbelievable benefits, mind blowing.

So here, yeah, like that, okay.

So now the next one there’s ornaments of enlightenment. So this mantra if you put, one mantra you put inside the statue, stupa, you collect merit having built 100,000 stupas, even though it’s a small tsa-tsa stupa, doesn’t have to be, doesn’t mean only big ones, even a small tsa-tsa stupa, but if you put this mantra inside, ornaments of enlightenment, even one, you collect merit having built 100,000 stupas. So, and not only that, you collect the merit having made offering to all the buddhas and Dharma, Sangha. You collect merit having made offering to all the Buddha, Dharma, Sangha.

So these are usually written with gold on the life tree that goes inside the stupa or statue. So therefore I want to emphasize that, now there’s more and more stupas get built, I think it’s, stupa is something that everybody likes, they are peaceful, very, it has very serene feeling of peace, there’s a feeling of peace, it gives peace to the mind. So the, even just from that shape, design, even people don’t understand what it is and just from the shape that it brings peace in the heart. So, generally people like and there’s something a little different from a statue. A statue of Buddha, there’s Buddha and then it’s one something specific, so some people have a reaction towards that, if they’re a different religion or something. But a stupa is something kind of, I guess it’s something kind of, I guess maybe sort of a nice art or universal or something. People don’t, immediately there’s no kind of reaction immediately, there’s some difference.

Anyway, so it’s unbelievable benefit to the sentient beings, not only yourself, all the merits, purification, all this, direct your life towards enlightenment, you never go down, not only that but especially for sentient beings, it’s, after you have actualized this, it has unbelievable, day and night, constantly, it liberates the sentient beings. Liberates and purifies the negative karma and defilements of sentient beings and causes them to collect merit and plants the seed of liberation, enlightenment, in their hearts, and brings them to, yeah, plants seed of liberation, enlightenment in their hearts, so all the time. That, especially containing these mantras then even the rain comes, water touches the stupa, it get blessed. It becomes blessed then goes down, purifies the insects, the worms, under the ground. And then the dust that touches the stupa, the dust that lands on the stupa becomes blessed and blows away by the wind and touches any beings, people, human beings, insects, and they all get purified, get higher rebirth. And then the wind that touches the stupa containing these mantras becomes blessed then it goes away, touches any being, insects, people, anywhere, wherever it goes, the wind after that, purifies, liberates all those different beings. Purifies negative karma and then liberated from the lower realms, get a higher rebirth. So meaningful to behold. Anybody who sees from very far, that holy object, and immediately it plants seed of enlightenment in their mind and purifies the defilements. Anybody who sees from far, even from very far, the minute they see it purifies their mind and plants seed of enlightenment and, so purifies their five uninterrupted negative karmas, those very heavy negative karmas get purified, even somebody see from very far.

So, once a holy object is actualized, so whether it’s a statue or stupa, then even you are not in this world, you are somewhere else, some other universe or somewhere else, but your work, but what you have done here in this world, built this holy object, it works for sentient beings how many hundred, thousand years it lasts, this holy object that you have built, so it works for sentient beings continuously, every day liberates so many sentient beings, seeing, touching, remembering, talking about it, even dreaming about it, it liberates them and brings them to enlightenment.

So here, if one is building a stupa, must put this Pinnacle Deity’s mantra, Stainless Pinnacle Deity, if possible, because in the West there’s very good technology, so the technology becomes very beneficial, so to print the mantras very small, clear and small, so to have 100,000 Pinnacle Deity’s mantra inside a stupa, so it can be also microfiche, microfilm. Not microfiche, microfilm. So it can be microfilm. If it’s a small stupa you can, if you can, can do that also as microfilm, put inside. However, that’s one thing I want to emphasize. So anywhere, in your own places or country, wherever in the world building the holy objects, so put this Pinnacle Deity’s mantra, Stainless Pinnacle 100,000 then externally unbelievable success; internally great success, internal, development of the mind, great success, outside, inside, both, like a blazing fire. So that’s one thing to emphasize that. So even a small stupa you can do that, put that mantra 100,000 times.

So, I didn’t have knowledge the stupa, these benefits, all that, didn’t know before. So one time I went to Geshe Sopa in Wisconsin, Madison, to see, to meet, to see Geshe-la. So Rinpoche ?and, so that time Geshe Sopa Rinpoche was building a stupa there. So there was one geshe there who was helping to build the stupa, who built a stupa in Tibet. So he came one morning, he came to see me and he asked, there’s some mantras inside the, in the text that gives instruction how to fill up the stupa. Not how to build but how to fill up a stupa. So there’s one, there’s these four mantras I mentioned before. So in that text it talks the name but doesn’t have the mantras. So, I think in the early, very early time statues, I think, I used to carry around this text, the essence I copied and carried around with me to fill up statues, but then didn’t know these four mantras. The names are there but didn’t have this text, Crystal Mirror, it’s called, so it didn’t have these mantras. So I think the very early ones, statues, when we filled up didn’t have these mantras. The very, very early times.

So, how I found out this is, so the geshe came to see me and he asked, he has something to request. So I said, What? So he said this, that these four mantras, is this another tradition, is this Nyingma or what it is? So because it’s not mentioned there so he thought maybe, yeah, wasn’t sure. So anyway, so then that time because I didn’t know these mantras that time, so there was Geshe ?Tengyur, who just finished the abbot of Sera Je Monastery, that we belong to. So he was there, so he said, maybe check in the, there’s one lama from Sera Je, ?Rongta ?Rato Rinpoche, so there’s two volumes of his collections of teachings, so of course, in the university that Geshe-la taught, so then that’s very close so then got book from there, from one of the students, borrowed the book from the university. So Geshe ?Tengyur, who is now ex-abbot of Sera Je, so maybe to check there.

So then I checked, I must have some karma, I think, _______ _______ so then that lama mentioned in which, under which volume, under which A, B, C, D, like that, ka, kha, nga, the alphabet under which syllable you can, the benefits of, about these mantras explained. So then I got the Kangyur where, the actual text where Buddha explained the benefits of these mantras. Then I read. It’s just mind blowing. It’s just mind blowing. There’s unbelievable, each mantra has unbelievable benefits. So this, those three mantras, then Stainless Pinnacle, so that’s another one, unbelievable, limitless skies of benefit, so that have read recently. Then printed, made copies and read quite a number of times, but each time when you read it’s sort of like new, I think.

So then after that many stupas happened different parts, at Kopan, the eight stupas down there, many parts, many parts of centers, many parts, many stupas happened. There’s Solu Khumbu, when my mother passed away, a stupa built in the road so that people who go to Tibet and _______, we built in the road so that people, the animals, they go, can circumambulate. And then I think also, my mother reincarnated and then he also passed away so then built another stupa. Then the, at the airport, Solu Khumbu, Lukla is the original airport, so where Western trekkers, tourists, where everybody go, animals, so there, from that town you go up towards Mount Everest or different places, so built one stupa, also, two walls like this and then a stupa on top, so that everybody goes underneath, so they all get purified.

So anyway, I think also Iceland there’s also a stupa, there’s one stupa built in Iceland. So then offered to the government. Built on the land and then offered to the government.

After the stupa is built, I went there to bless the stupa, consecrate, first of all I started outside, then couldn’t, the wind and, unbelievable wind and fogginess, wind, come, couldn’t do outside. Then I started, half of the ceremony I did in the car. But even the car moves like this. Even the car, so I don’t know how these people built the stupa, I’m not sure. They’re not Buddhist. There’s only one person who came from Dharamsala, stayed some days or I don’t know, spent some, either a few weeks or one month, I’m not sure, at Dharamsala. Otherwise, the rest is not Buddhist, but they’re very happy to build the stupa.

Similar the stupa at Vajrayogini in France, Kadampa stupa, that’s then probably, normally people don’t build a Kadampa stupa, normally, you don’t see in other, but we have one Kadampa stupa built at Vajrayogini, but that’s also built by Christians, I think, a particular group of Christian people. So it’s very, they enjoyed very much and they said, if in the future, if there’s a stupa, they could come back and build.

And it is known, it is also some students’ experience, while you’re building a stupa, you recognize the purification, you recognize the benefit. You see the benefit you’re receiving.

So students who have built stupas mentioned to me, so definitely you see some improvement in your mind.

So by the way I thought to, since we’re talking about the benefits of circumambulating so then thought to mention also by the way, like that. So it’s a great thing to benefit for sentient beings. And once it is actualized it works by itself, benefiting for sentient beings. Hundred, thousand years, whatever, so it’s unbelievable. So your work, your effort, your work still benefiting for sentient beings for hundreds, thousand years. So it’s a great thing to rejoice. Wherever you are, whichever universe or whichever realm you are, constantly benefiting, liberating sentient beings, so then it’s a great thing.

So I think, so when you start to circumambulate, then good to recite this mantra. Some people might know already from the past time, so then should give copies to other people, the mantra, who don’t know, who don’t have. So, CHOM DEN DE DE ZHIN SHEG PA DRA CHOM PA YANG DAG PAR DZOG PAY SANG GYAY RIN CHEN GYAL TSEN LA CHAG TSAL LO. OM NAMO BHAGAWATE RATNA KITU RATZAYA TATHAGATAYA ARHATE SAMYAKSAM BUDDHAYA OM RATNE RATNE MAHA RATNE RATNE VIZAYA SOHA, do seven times. So if you do that when you begin the circumambulation, then your circumambulation, one circumambulation becomes ten million circumambulations. So this is the business, this is how you make business, to enlightenment, to achieve enlightenment. So, the Buddha is so compassionate for us sentient beings, so therefore, so there is this to make so easy our life, so easy to purify, to collect extensive merit, because due to Buddha’s compassion so that these mantras were multiply or, that one practice become many millions, ten millions, like that. So that’s one thing, one thing to chant. Then the other one to chant when you circumambulate, when you begin to circumambulate, then make sure the mantra is correct. So, this is from Buddha, this is all from Buddha, so I have received the lung of this so can recite, I think I received from Kyabje Chöden Rinpoche or from Kirti Tsenshab Rinpoche, one of the two, I’m not sure. ?Good ?you receive.

[Rinpoche recites mantras.] So anyway, so if you recite this from Buddha, mantra to circumambulate the holy object of the rare sublime ones, the exalted rare sublime ones, so means Buddha, Dharma, Sangha. So you recite CHOM DEN DE DE ZHIN SHEG PA DRA CHOM PA YANG DAG PAR DZOG PAY SANG GYAY SHAKYA THUB PA LA CHAG TSAL LO, you recite seven times that, prostrating to Buddha. Then, the mantra ?OM NAMO DASHA DIKA TIKALA SARVA RATNA TRAYAYA NAMA PRATA SHA SVATA SHA SVAVA BUM BISHUDINI SVAHA. So that’s the mantras, here it says one time, sorry. Normally I try to recite, when I remember then I do seven times. But here it says, By reciting this mantra one, Buddha’s name mantra one time, then if you do prostration, so it seems you can do also prostrations, beginning of prostrations, you can do also prostrations and circumambulate. Alle, I see, oh, what I’m saying! I got confused. So if you recite this mantra one time, then the benefit is, the benefit what you get is, circumambulated, the benefit what you get by reciting this mantra one time, you get benefits having circumambulated to all the ten-direction, three-time Buddha, Dharma, Sangha. All the ten-direction, three-time, past, present and future, Buddha, Dharma, Sangha, to all the ten-direction, three-time, past, present, future, Buddha, Dharma, Sangha, you get the merit having circumambulated to all of them, and you get the merit of having done prostration to all of them. So, two benefits. You get the benefits of having circumambulated, you get the benefits of having prostrated to all of them, okay. So the numberless Buddha, Dharma, Sangha. Then, third benefit, it purifies all the negative karmas collected from beginningless rebirth, so the third benefit. Then fourth benefit, you quickly achieve enlightenment. That’s the fourth benefit. Fifth benefit, you don’t get harmed by enemies and interferers, spirits and so forth. That’s the fifth benefit. And then you become liberated from the sicknesses and spirit harms.

So there’s about seven benefits, so when you circumambulate or when you prostrate, if you recite this at the beginning. So first recite the other one, then you can recite this one. It doesn’t matter, either way.

So, that...
