| Born in the Indo-Tibetan borderlands at
the end of the nineteenth century, Khunu Lama Rinpoche
Tenzin Gyaltsen (1894-1977) was revered by Tibetan Buddhists
of all traditions because his life embodied the spiritual
practice of compassion. Among his many students was His
Holiness the Dalai Lama. His most famous written work
was Vast as the Heavens, Deep as the Sea: Verses in
Praise of Bodhicitta (Wisdom Publications, 1999). |
