During an interview for Mongolian television, Rinpoche was asked to give advice to young people. Rinpoche gave a very concise answer and excellent advice, saying that the most important thing is generally to learn Dharma, which means to learn about the mind. Besides that, and equally important, is to develop the good heart.

If we want happiness and don’t want suffering, we must practice the good heart toward others in everyday life, not harming others and causing happiness to others. It is also very important to practice patience toward others, in order to create peace and happiness in our life, in our family, in our society and in the whole world.

We should practice compassion for others, and also contentment, which brings all the happiness. If we don’t have contentment then we will suffer so much, and even if we have billions, zillions or trillions of dollars, or jewels filling the whole sky, we will suffer so much dissatisfaction. In the West or those countries where there are billionaires, zillionaires and trillionaires, they have so much suffering and don't have happiness. It becomes like that if we don’t practice contentment.
